Girl Scout Gold Award
I started my Girl Scout Gold Award in June of 2017. The Gold Award is similar to the Eagle Scout Award for Boy Scouts. For my project, I completed over 80 hours of community service by educating my community about the importance of honey bees and how to protect them. I visited 5 schools, had 10 hive visitors, gave 4 community presentations, and presented to 4 Girl Scout Troops. In total I reached out to over 450 community members. The final component of my project was the creation of a lesson plan geared towards grades 3-5. Below I attached the links to my lesson plan.
