Honey bee colony decline has been on the rise in recent history. The causes of this decline are for the most part, unknown. However, many organizations and beekeepers have been taking action in attempts to help pollinators. Below are some conservation efforts that I found interesting.
Pollinator Partnership's mission is to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research.
This website provides information about pollinator conservation across the US and Canada, and offers a list of specific pollinator friendly plants for each state.
This was a strategy implemented under the Obama Administration in 2015 with the goal to:
1) Reduce honey bee colony losses
2) Increase monarch butterfly levels to protect the annual migration
3) Restore millions of acres of land for pollinators.
